The IMO is currently planning a new series of autumn branch meetings throughout the country to hear members’ views and provide an update to members on IR issues. We would encourage you to attend your local meeting which is a very useful means of communication between the IMO and members. We would encourage all members to attend their meeting to maintain an up to date knowledge of contractual developments. It is important that GPs are up to date on contractual issues and aware of developments at this time of change.

The IMO is keen to ensure that GPs understand the IMO strategy where the existing contract is fully protected and members are alert to deal with any breaches.
This meeting qualified for 1.5 CPD points which counts towards your professional competence requirements. Included in the meeting programme will be a presentation and discussion on Health & Safety which will provide you with the information you need to comply with your obligations under Health & Safety legislation. This is a very important issue and a significant responsibility for GPs as employers.
