I refer to our previous correspondence regarding the recognition of health service staff who attended for work during the Red Weather Event in February and March last.

We understand from members that in some locations, neither emergency leave nor other forms of recognition had been granted in respect of Wednesday, February 28^th.

We have very recently had it confirmed that as per the terms of the national Circular, the provisions outlined in the Circular will now cover Wednesday, February 28^th irrespective of local conditions. HSE National Human Resources will be contacting local managers to advise them in this regard.

Any member who was informed that this day did not count for recognition purposes, should revert to their local Human Resources Department.
