Further to previous communications, the IMO, in conjunction with other health service unions, continues to push for the introduction of an appropriate scheme to deal with those who suffer from long Covid having contracted Covid at work.

 

The arrangements in place for those impacted by this ended on 31^st March with individuals due to move onto normal sick leave from 1^st April. We have now been advised that this date has been extended by 3 months and you can see a copy of the circular confirming this here.  

 

While we welcome this extension a permanent solution is required to give certainty to those impacted and we will continue to push for this.
